Method
- Cut the protein bar into small pieces and place them in a microwave-safe bowl with ¼ cup almond milk.
- Heat for 30 seconds on high in the microwave and stir until smooth. Set aside.
- Whisk egg yolks and calorie-free sweetener.
- Bring 1 ½ cups almond milk to medium heat in a saucepan.
- Once warm (not hot), slowly stir in the egg yolk mixture and cook until hot (about 165°F).
- Remove from heat and add the remaining milk, spices, peppermint bar mixture, and protein powder. Stir until smooth.
- Serve hot with toppings or cold and serve cold with toppings.
