Puma joins the ranks of Nike and Adidas in unveiling a series of new national team jerseys after the aforementioned brands showcased their collections earlier in March. Puma revealed five new jerseys on Friday, March 28, with four out of the five teams having qualified for Euro 2024 in Germany this summer. Each jersey features „custom designs that celebrate the rich heritage of each nation,“ as stated in the press release.

While the authentic jerseys are made with Puma’s Ultraweave technology, the company emphasized the use of RE:FIBRE recycling technology in the replica versions.

The RE:FIBRE process focuses on textile waste as the primary source for producing new textiles. The recycled material can be repeatedly recycled without any loss of quality—making RE:FIBRE a long-term solution for recycling polyester textile waste.

Through the RE:FIBRE program, Puma aims to address the challenge of textile waste with a sustainable recycling solution. The technology also aims to diversify the main source of recycled polyester in garments in the fashion industry, reducing reliance on transparent plastic bottles.

The RE:FIBRE process utilizes any polyester material—ranging from factory remnants to faulty goods to used clothing—allowing new garments to be recycled from textiles of any color into any desired color.
