Kaffee-Date-Chat – The Fitnessista

von NFI Redaktion

Having a coffee date chat with some of my best blog friends.

Hello! How is your morning going? I hope you’re doing well so far. It’s been a while since we talked about coffee or juice here, so let’s have a favorite drink today and chat a bit. I would probably ask you to meet me at Dedicated as it’s currently my favorite local bakery. Everything is gluten-free and the coffee drinks are fantastic!

If we were having coffee right now…

I would love to hear what’s going on with YOU. How are the human and/or furry children? How’s life? What are you up to lately?

We would probably talk about spring feelings and summer plans. I am SO READY for school (and homework!) to be over for the kids. I’m ready for late-night swims, relaxed mornings, and more quality time. As far as summer travel goes, we’re heading to Hawaii this summer (can’t wait!!!) and I have set several price alerts for Spain. If airline prices drop a bit, we’re IN.

I would love to know where you’ve been shopping lately. I feel like everything has been a bit dull this season, but so far I’m enjoying Abercrombie (surprisingly!), Amazon finds (like this dress and this set), and Farm Rio. I still have the RTR Unlimited subscription, and it’s a nice way to keep things fresh without having to buy everything, lol.

I would tell you about my garden. When I had all my eye issues last spring, I let everything die. I didn’t want to be outside in the dirt and wind as my eyes were so irritated, so my garden turned into Survival of the Fittest. Somehow, the zucchini grew as big as my forearm, a huge beet survived, and our rose bushes made it! They’re all blooming now and smell delightful. The Pilot built a new garden bed, we planted some new things for spring, and I’m looking forward to having a garden again.

I would ask you about the workouts you’ve been doing lately. I still love Sculpt Society, F45, Barre, hiking, and Hot Yoga.

I would probably chat with you about military life. The Pilot is retiring this winter and I can’t believe it. I shared more in this vulnerable Instagram post, but I won’t be sad when it’s over. Much of military life is based on fears, worries, and waiting. Waiting for the next assignment, waiting for the deployment to end, waiting for the situation to calm down (<— that never happens, lol). I had to learn to be happy in the moment and not wait for things anymore, which has positively affected my attitude towards military life and life in general. When he retires, I'll be sad because I know it'll be hard to be sad and miss it. It’s a big part of his identity. I’m so proud of him and everything he’s accomplished, but I’m looking forward to the next chapter.

I would love to know what you’re looking forward to right now and also share some future plans with you. I’ve been working hard behind the scenes here on the blog and also as part of an EquiLife mentoring program. I’ll share more details in the coming weeks, but it’s been an incredible opportunity.

So tell me, friends:

– What’s going on in your life? What are you looking forward to right now? Do you have a garden? Any summer plans?

xoxo

Gina
