Untersuchen Sie Ihre Rolle in einer schwierigen Ehe

Darryl Strawberry had it all. Talent. Money. Success. Fame. He was a powerful, eight-time All-Star in Major League Baseball, winning four World Series championships in 17 seasons with teams like the New York Mets and the New York Yankees. Then his career and life were derailed by drug abuse and prison sentences. He lost two marriages, became estranged from his children, and amassed $3,000,000 in debt.

Similarly, when Darryl met Tracy – in recovery – she was also struggling. Despite growing up in a loving family with good values, she suffered from sexual abuse at a young age, which led her to drift away from her parents‘ faith. Eventually, she embraced everything the world had to offer, losing her children and enduring two broken marriages.

When they married, they were both broken individuals, not living for the Lord. Each brought years of turmoil and dysfunction into their relationship. They fought dirty. They hurled insults at each other. Their marriage became a nightmare that seemed impossible to fix. No one would have thought they could overcome their problems and make it work. But they did.

As you will hear in my conversation with Darryl and Tracy on the topic of „Focus on the Family“ with Jim Daly, they chose to follow the path of the Lord and allow Him to redirect their lives. And that changed everything.

Darryl and Tracy Strawberry are living proof that with God’s help, any couple can overcome seemingly insurmountable obstacles and build a happy marriage. Tune in to your local radio station, online, on Apple Podcasts, through Google Podcasts, or listen to our free phone app to learn how they found spiritual, emotional, and relational healing through God’s grace.
