Vielfalt dokumentieren – Umweltbewusstsein stärken
Am GEO-Tag der Artenvielfalt (12. Juni) rief die Naturfreunde Internationale mit einem Fotowettbewerb zur verstärkten Wahrnehmung und Wertschätzung der Artenvielfalt auf

Mit der NFI-Fotomeisterschaft unter dem Motto „Countdown 2010 – Biodiversität" werden NaturliebhaberInnen und FotografInnen dazu eingeladen, die Wunder der biologischen Vielfalt unserer Erde digital festzuhalten und zu dokumentieren. Damit soll in dem von der UNO zum ‚Internationalen Jahr der Biodiversität’ erklärten Jahr 2010 die Bedeutung des Schutzes der Artenvielfalt gestärkt und ein Sensibilisierungs- und Bewusstseinsbildungsprozess rund um das Thema Biodiversität gefördert werden. ‚Biodiversität’ ist allerdings für viele Menschen nach wie vor ein abstrakter Begriff. Und für viele stellt sich die Frage, ob wirklich Millionen von Arten nötig sind, um unsere Lebensqualität zu sichern.

Sich verbinden und inspirieren lassen – im Netzwerk der internationalen Naturfreundejugend
IYNF (International Young Naturefriends), die unabhängige Jugendorganisation der NFI, ist eine Vereinigung von 18-30 Jahre alten NaturfreundInnen und deren Organisationen in ganz Europa. Mit 19 Mitglieds- und 3 Partnerorganisationen repräsentiert IYNF über 120.000 junge Mitglieder in mehr als 1.000 Ortsgruppen und zählt damit zu Europas größten Jugendorganisationen.

Weltumwelttag 2010
auf die sanfte tour :-) - 100 Aktionen zum Weltumwelttag, 4.-6. Juni 2010
Zum diesjährigen Weltumwelttag sind wieder viele Naturfreundinnen und Naturfreunde aus verschiedenen Ländern dem Aufruf gefolgt, sich mit verschiedenen Aktionen rund um den internationalen Umwelttag am 5. Juni zu beteiligen.

Green 10 fordern ambitioniertere EU-Klimapolitik
Im Vorfeld des EU-Gipfels am 17. Juni forderten die Green 10 in einem offnen Brief an EU-Ratspräsident Herman Van Rompuy mutigere Schritte in Sachen Klimapolitik. Sie weisen auf die positiven wirtschaftlichen Effekt hin, die eine Erhöhung des EU Klimazieles, welches derzeit eine Reduktion des CO2 Ausstoßes von 20% bis 2020 vorsieht, bringen könnte.

Naturfreunde Internationale ist Mitglied des EARTH-Netzerks für nachhaltigen Tourismus
Das Netzwerk EARTH (European Alliance of Responsible Tourism and Hospitality – Europäische Allianz für verantwortungsvollen Tourismus und Gastfreundschaft) wurde im Oktober 2008 gegründet. In seinen Zielen verschreibt sich EARTH der Strukturierung und dem Ausbau von Netzwerken rund um einen verantwortungsbewussten Tourismus, und fungiert dabei selbst als Kompetenzzentrum und unterstützt bei der Schaffung neuer Partnerschaften und Initiativen.

Documenting diversity - Boosting ecological awareness
At the GEO-Day of biodiversity (12 June) Naturefriends International invited to a Photo Championship to enforce the perception and appreciation of the diversity of life

With the NFI Photo championship, themed “Countdown 2010 - Biodiversity“, nature lovers and photographers are invited to document the wonders of biological diversity on our planet. Therewith it should enforce the importance of the protection of diversity of life and advance the awareness and sensitivity of biodiversity in 2010, the „International Year of Biodiversity“ declared by the UN. For many people „Biodiversity“ is still an abstract term. It is being questioned whether millions of species are really required to ensure our quality of life.

Be connected and inspired by International Young Naturefriends
IYNF, the independent youth organisation of NFI, is an international organisation associating 18-30 year old Naturefriends and their organisations accross Europe. With its 19 member and 3 partner organisations that gather more than 120.000 young members organised in more than 1000 local groups, it is one of the major European youth organisations.

Green 10 demand a more ambitious EU Climate Policy
In the run-up to the EU summit on 17 June 2010, the Green 10 addressed an open letter to Herman van Rompuy, President of the European Council, to demand an increase in Europe's climate ambition. They point out the economic benefits that could be gained by upgrading the EU's climate target to cut CO2 emission by 20% until 2020.

Naturefriends International is a Member of the EARTH-Network for Sustainable Tourism
The EARTH-Network (European Alliance of Responsible Tourism and Hospitality) was officially launched in October 2008. Its main purpose is to promote the concept of responsible tourism and the principles stemming from it adopting several procedures, such as: Improving the quality of trips from an ethical viewpoint, through the adoption of good practices inspired by the principles of responsible tourism; Ensuring collaboration between responsible tourism operators and communities in the Southern part of the world and their organisations; Dialoguing with public European, national and local institutions in defining tourism development policies based on the principles of sustainable development and responsibility.

Documenter la diversité – fortifier la conscience environnementale
L’Internationale des Amis de la Nature a lancé, avec le Concours photos, un appel à la perception et appréciation de la biodiversité, pour la journée d'action GEO pour la biodiversité le 12 Juin

Avec le Concours Photos de l’IAN, sous le signe „Countdown 2010 – Biodiversité“, des admirateurs de la nature et des photographes sont invités à documenter les miracles de la biodiversité de notre planète. Le concours se réalise dans « L’Année internationale de la biodiversité », proclamée par l’ONU en 2010, veut renforcer l'importance de la protection de la biodiversité et promouvoir un procès de sensibilisation et formation pour la conscience de tous les aspects de la biodiversité. Celle-ci est encore un sujet abstract pour beaucoup de gens, au même moment que d’autres se questionnent si des millions des espèces sont véritablement nécessaires pour assurer la qualité de vie.

Se connecter et s’inspirer – dans le réseau de l’Internationale des Jeunes Amis de la Nature
L’IJAN (Internationale des Jeunes Amis de la Nature), l’organisation indépendante de jeunesse de l’IAN, regroupe des Amis de la Nature de 18 à 30 ans et leurs organisations dans toute l’Europe. Avec 19 organisations membres et 3 associations partenaires, l’IJAN représente plus de 120000 jeunes Amis de la Nature dans plus de 1000 sections; elle compte ainsi parmi les plus grandes organisations de jeunesse d’Europe.

Les Green 10 demandent une politique plus ambitieuse de l’UE en matière de climat
Préalablement au Sommet de l’UE du 17 juin, les Green 10 ont adressé une lettre ouverte à Herman Van Rompuy, Président du Conseil européen, pour demander une attitude plus courageuse en matière de politique climatique.
