What happened on Friday night in Lethbridge, Alberta didn’t stay in Lethbridge.
The Lethbridge Hurricanes of the Western Hockey League wore casino-style jerseys during the „Leth Vegas“ night at the Enmax Center on Friday, December 8, as part of a game sponsored by Pure Casino Lethbridge, featuring giveaways and Vegas-style entertainment.
The Hurricanes‘ jerseys were dark blue with black stripes outlined in red on each arm, with a casino-style neon sign reading „Welcome to Fabulous Leth Vegas“ on the front. Each black arm stripe featured slot machine symbols in a neon sign style, including cherries, bells, and plums. A Hurricanes logo in a neon sign style was on each shoulder.
The numbers on the back and sleeve were in white slot machine-style font with red outline. The names on the back of the jerseys were in white western font with red dots inside.
The jerseys were paired with the Hurricanes‘ usual blue gloves, helmets, and pants, as well as solid black socks.
The game-worn Leth Vegas jerseys are currently being auctioned off to benefit the Lethbridge Hurricanes Education Fund. The auction runs until Thursday, December 14th, 9:00 PM MT.
Friday’s game was the first half of a home-and-home series against the Broncos. The Hurricanes won Friday’s game 5-3 but fell to the Broncos 3-1 in the rematch on Saturday.
