The S2 cognition test could follow the path of the Wonderlic. According to a report from The Athletic, the sports agency Athletes First has instructed their NFL Draft prospects not to participate in cognitive tests in their pre-draft process this year. Last month, Athletes First sent an email to NFL teams to inform them of this decision.

„After many internal discussions, Athletes First’s agents have instructed our draft prospects to respectfully refrain from participating in cognitive or psychological tests during the pre-draft process (e.g., AIQ, S2, etc.),“ the email from Athletes First stated.

„We understand that many of your teams use these tests or protocols as part of your prospect evaluation process, but our recent experiences with these examinations have been anything but positive,“ the email continued. „In particular, the fact that certain results and performances were publicly disclosed last year shows that there is truly no confidentiality in these tests. It is not acceptable to have a player’s intelligence, talent, or mental performance publicly discussed and ridiculed—no other job interview is subjected to the same scrutiny.“
