As the American Hockey League’s All-Star Classic approaches, host San Jose Barracuda has finally given us a glimpse of what the brightest stars in the league will be wearing at the annual showcase.
The Barracuda unveiled the uniforms for the four AHL divisions – Pacific, Atlantic, Central, and North – on Thursday, February 1st, on their social media channels, just a few days before the All-Star Classic on February 4th and 5th at the Tech CU Arena.
Each of the four jerseys uses a different base color from the Barracuda’s palette: black, white, teal, or grey. All four feature the diagonal „AHL“ lettering on the front of the jersey, contrasting shoulder yokes, and the Tech CU sponsor logo on the left chest.
Two stripes with orange inner edges and stars between them run at the waist and on the sleeves. A division-specific patch is featured on the right shoulder, while the left shoulder carries an AHL All-Star Challenge patch.
Here are the best looks we could get from all four jerseys from the video posted on Twitter:
Back in April 2023, the Barracuda revealed the logo for the All-Star Classic. It features a Barracuda fin, palm trees, and three stars representing the three All-Star events San Jose has hosted.
The AHL All-Star Skills Competition takes place on Sunday, February 4th, followed by the All-Star Challenge the next evening. The All-Star Challenge features 12 players from each division competing in a 3-on-3 round-robin tournament with six 10-minute games.
The two teams with the best record at the end of the round-robin meet in the championship finals, a six-minute 3-on-3 game.
