On Sunday (1:00 pm ET on FOX), the Minnesota Vikings will be wearing white jerseys and pants for the second consecutive time at home on Christmas Eve when they host the Detroit Lions.
Fans attending the game at US Bank Stadium are encouraged to wear white in support of the team, just as they did last year during the 27-24 victory over the New York Giants, which ended with a 61-yard field goal.
This game marked the first time since 1964 that the Vikings wore white jerseys at home and the first time in franchise history that they wore white jerseys over white pants during the regular season.
In addition to the jerseys, Minnesota has painted the end zones white with a purple lettering and the midfield logo in white. This design was also used for last year’s „Winter Whiteout,“ as shown above.
The Vikings are 1-1 in this jersey combination, which includes white socks instead of the usual half-purple and half-white look, including a 24-7 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles during an away game in 2022.
