January is generally considered the worst month of the calendar year, but not for everyone. It’s cold. It’s dark. The holiday magic has faded. My annual debilitating depression is creeping back into my life, fueled, of course, by the fact that the Tennessee Titans didn’t make the playoffs, and there’s no luck or joy in sight.
That’s why we took matters into our own hands and gave January a good kick start with #JeanClaudeVanDammuary.
It’s an opportunity for us to honor the greatest living actor of this (and any) generation. Throughout January, we’ll be sharing a unique photo or video of the legend himself, Jean-Claude Van Damme, every day. He won’t just be known for Bloodsport anymore. He won’t be just the action star who appeared in that one movie with Dennis Rodman. NO! Now, he will finally receive the respect he deserves. If we have a month for breast cancer, pride, and black history, then it’s time for us to dedicate a month to the man who once stopped a terrorist attack during Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals, with the Vice President in attendance. So come and celebrate the life and career of the most popular Belgian actor, martial artist, and environmentalist with us.
Ladies and gentlemen, happy Jean-Claude Van Dammuary.
