Former WWE and sextape superstar Hulk Hogan reportedly helped save the life of a teenager on Sunday evening after her car rolled over on the highway due to being struck by another vehicle on the Veterans Expressway headed towards Clearwater, Florida.
Hogan, along with his wife Sky Daily and friend Jake Rask, were among the first responders at the scene. Rask and Hogan had to deploy the car’s airbags to safely extricate the teenager. Hogan posted on X that he had to use a pen.
„Last night, after leaving dinner in Tampa, we saw a car in front of us flip over!“ Daily posted on Facebook. „I truly admire my husband @hulkhogan and our good pal @jakerask for springing into action, puncturing the girl’s airbag and getting her out of the car quickly. Apparently, she’s unharmed, just really shook up, which is an absolute miracle!“
Deadspin reached out to the Florida Highway Patrol for further information on the accident but received no response.
Hogan was a professional wrestler from 1977 to 2012. He is a six-time WWE Champion and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame twice. After his wrestling career, he also found success as an actor.
In 2013, Hogan sued Gawker Media (which then owned Deadspin) after the parent company posted clips of a sex video involving Hogan and his friend’s wife. Hogan claimed he was unaware he was being filmed during the encounter and that the video’s release humiliated him. The jury ruled in his favor, awarding him $140 million in damages, but he ultimately settled for $31 million. Two months later, Gawker filed for bankruptcy.
