The Henderson Silver Knights of the American Hockey League have paid tribute to their local fanbase with their new third jersey.
The jersey was unveiled on Thursday, December 28, on the team’s social media channels. It is mostly black, with a silver crest on the front featuring the Silver Knights‘ main logo in the center. Surrounding it is another shield with Hs in the upper right and lower left quadrants and laurels. A knight’s helmet with „HH“ in the visor and a banner at the bottom reading „HOUSE HENDERSON“ in black lettering on the front pays homage to the team’s fans, collectively referred to as „House Henderson.“
The Silver Knights also refer to individual fans as „Nobles“ and their home arena, the Dollar Loan Center, as „The Stronghold.“
The jersey sleeves feature metallic light grey, dark grey, and gold stripes tapering at the elbows, paying homage to the Silver Knights‘ and their NHL affiliate, the Vegas Golden Knights‘ home and away jerseys, according to the team. A similar stripe pattern appears at the waist.
Cap and alternate captain patches feature a gold letter in a silver outline of the state of Nevada.
The jersey collar is half black and half grey, with a black insert at the front. A Silver Knights logo patch is on the right shoulder, and a Golden Knights logo is on the left shoulder.
The numbers on the sleeves and back are in metallic silver with black and gold outlines, while the names on the back are in solid gold.
The Silver Knights will debut the new third jersey on the ice for the first time on Saturday, December 30, against the Ontario Reign.
