A former NBA G-League player confessed to strangling a woman with the help of his ex-girlfriend, who had plotted the murder, according to court records obtained by KCRA 3.

Former Stockton Kings center, Chance Comanche, choked Maryana Rodgers with an HDMI cable while his ex-girlfriend, Sakari Harnden, used her hands – hours after his team’s game against the Ignite, according to the Las Vegas police.

The police said they found Rodgers‘ body in the desert near Henderson after Comanche confessed, as detailed in the Las Vegas police arrest warrant.

According to the police report, 23-year-old Rodgers – a medical assistant from Washington – traveled to Sin City to engage in prostitution and met her friend Harnden, 19, who works as a prostitute. The court records allege that the pair had planned to meet for a „prostitution double date“ which was actually a setup.

Comanche told the police that Rodgers had agreed to have her hands „tied with a zip tie“ as part of a „dirty sex request“ before he strangled her, according to the documents.

The 27-year-old former basketball player also told the police that he and Harnden had tried to hire a male friend to kill Rodgers, but he was not interested.

Comanche’s lawyer, Michael Goldstein, declined to comment on the confession but told KCRA 3, „We will address it through the courts.“

Harnden is currently being held without bail AP. Comanche was officially released from the G-League team on December 15, and was arrested by the FBI on the same day. He is facing charges of murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
