The Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL will be wearing a popular throwback warm-up jersey this weekend for a good cause.

The Cyclones are hosting their annual Teddy Bear Toss game on Saturday, January 6th. For this occasion, the Cyclones are promoting a retro jersey that they have been wearing during warm-ups all season, and will also wear it during the game against the Toledo Walleye.

The jersey is red with the word „CINCY“ diagonally in black letters with white outlines on the front. Wide black stripes run around the sleeves and waist, with two narrower grey stripes inside.

The cuffs and collar are solid black, with white shoelaces through the collar. A red and black version of the Cyclones‘ main logo appears on each shoulder.

The numbers on the sleeves and back are black with white outlines, while the names on the back are solid black.

The retro jerseys have been a hit with Cyclones fans. In a social media post from the team, they said it’s „perhaps our most popular jersey design yet!“ The Cyclones are also selling hoodies and sweatshirts with the throwback design in their online store.

The regular home and away jerseys of the Cyclones are … well, let’s say busier than the throwback design. They also have a black alternate with red logos and white outlines around the red names and numbers.

The puck drop between the Cyclones and the Walleye will take place on Saturday at 7:30 pm at the Heritage Bank Centre in Cincinnati. Stuffed animals thrown onto the ice after the Cyclones‘ first goal will be donated to the Cincinnati Police Department, the Cincinnati Fire Department, and Matthew 25 Ministries.
