Perhaps the first „SUPER BOWL AD“ in history, it announced the presence and imminent takeover of the technology world by Apple. What most of these ads have in common is the simplicity of the message, but a message that is loud and clear. Many Super Bowl commercials get lost in their star power and production budgets, and one doesn’t even know what the hell they’re saying or what they’re advertising.
No such problem for „1984,“ as it was clear that Apple wanted to tell everyone that they would break the monotony and change the world. What they frustratingly have done, overall. If they could now invent a laptop keyboard, I wouldn’t destroy it with my targeted and determined typing (and apparently with my very powerful fingers?).
