Baylor’s football program unveiled new uniforms on Tuesday morning, marking the first redesign of the Bears‘ look since the 2019 season.

The uniforms, based on Nike’s Vapor FUSE template, retain some details from the previous set, including the custom number font and the secondary logo at the collar base.

However, the uniforms ditch the scratch marks on the shoulders and contrasting cuffs, opting instead for a stripe pattern in the style of the Green Bay Packers on the sleeves and sides of the green-gold and white pants.

In addition, Baylor changed the color of the numbers on their green home jerseys from gold to white, and oddly kept the contrasting collar on the white away jerseys and gold alternate jerseys, but not on the green jerseys.

The uniforms are complete with Baylor’s standard green-gold and white helmets, all featuring the familiar interlocking „BU“ on the sides and optional with a new gold facemask.

Furthermore, Baylor announced the release of a fourth uniform on Tuesday, reportedly all black. The Bears previously wore black alternate uniforms from 2012 to 2018.

The new green home jerseys or gold alternate jerseys will make their debut on the field when Baylor hosts Tarleton State on August 31st, while the white away jerseys will be worn the following weekend in Utah.
