|International hiking conference in Linz|
On 19th and 20th November 2012 the International Hiking Conference will take place at the Power Tower in Linz. Aim of the hiking conference is to communicate the potential of hiking tourism within the entire Danube region.
The partner s of the EU supported project DanubeHIKE will present the project outcomes. Moreover the importance of hiking tourism in the Danube region will be emphasized by presentations and discussions of hiking tourism experts. Beyond others, guests such as Prof. Dr. Heinz-Diester Quack (dean of Karl Scharfenberg Faculty Transport-Sports-Tourism-Media, Ostfalia University) and long distance hikers Beatrix and Florian Weichselbaum will contribute to a diversified program.
Within this event tourism experts from all Danube bordering countries are invited to contribute to the knowledge exchange. Moreover representatives from Danube bordering countries will be motivated to actively contribute presenting hiking offers within their countries.
Active participation within discussions and knowledge exchange with potential partners from all countries along the Danube will be fostered.
