IFN’s partner organisation in Togo (CASE Togo – Amis de la Nature) has, with the aid of the IFN, launched a project for the reforestation of bank slopes in Togo’s highland region. The project is being implemented with working camps and awareness raising measurements for the population.
The project’s duration is five years. It started in the summer of 2007 with four camps that were successfully completed at the end august. 64 persons from seven countries (Belgium, France, Burkina Faso, Senegal, Guadeloupe, Benin and Togo) took part in the camps, which were financed with donations of Friends of Nature and the support of the Manfred Hermsen Foundation.
